Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Project Manager - Field Services to join our team at BWX Technologies. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the overall technical, cost, and schedule requirements on assigned contracts and customer interface to ensure the company's resources are properly directed for satisfactory contract execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage large, complex nuclear projects related to plant construction, maintenance, decommissioning, waste management, and other related activities.
  • Lead project governance activities, including conducting field readiness reviews, updating customers on performance, and managing change processes.
  • Manage project execution, including preparing schedules and budgets, reviewing deliverables, and leading teams to resolve issues.
  • Manage project financials, including managing billing and charges collection.
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies and oversight organizations to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including identifying opportunities, developing strategies, and reviewing customer requirements.
  • Lead proposal teams, develop proposal packages, and conduct reviews to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Engineering or equivalent along with 15 years related experience.
  • In-depth understanding of nuclear engineering principles, nuclear reactor operations, nuclear safety, radiation protection, and other related areas.
  • Experience managing large, complex nuclear projects, including plant construction, maintenance, decommissioning, waste management, and other related activities.
  • Knowledge of nuclear regulations, codes, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills to coordinate large teams.
  • Ability to manage budgets, schedules, risks, and technical complexities.
  • Knowledge in nuclear quality assurance principles and procedures.
  • Experience coordinating with regulatory bodies and oversight organizations.
  • Experience managing construction trades on nuclear construction projects.
  • Knowledge of contracting, procurement, and supply chain issues specific to the nuclear industry.
