Project Coordination Specialist

Position Overview: The role of Assistant Project Leader is essential in supporting the management of various project phases within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior management in coordinating and overseeing specific stages of project execution, ensuring adherence to established project governance.
- Implement approved project management methodologies, focusing on integration, scope, scheduling, budgeting, change management, communication, reporting, and risk assessment.
- Support senior staff in the engineering, procurement, and construction processes, ensuring that project goals are met in terms of safety, quality, budget, and timelines.
- Contribute to the preparation of business case submissions for project approvals and funding releases, ensuring all relevant information is accurately compiled.
- Maintain effective communication with construction teams and operations regarding design, scheduling, and cost-related issues, providing regular updates to management.
- Assist in resolving project-related challenges to ensure deliverables are achieved as planned, managing any necessary changes to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating meetings and discussions to align project objectives and coordinate documentation.
- Conduct site visits and observe manufacturing processes, providing insights that contribute to project success.
- Stay informed about advancements in project management and engineering practices, sharing knowledge with team members to enhance project execution.
- Perform additional duties as required to support project goals.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of physics, engineering principles, mathematics, and chemistry related to industrial and power generation.
- Knowledge of economic and business principles for effective project cost estimation.
- Familiarity with project management principles across all project phases.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication and report preparation.
- Educational background typically includes a four-year degree in a relevant field, supplemented by project management and business economics coursework.
- Experience in project management, including cost estimation, proposal preparation, and managing project execution phases.
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities related to scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
- Strong organizational skills and a collaborative approach to working with diverse teams.
- Awareness of environmental protection issues and project complexity management.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience is preferred.
