The Security Program Coordinator is tasked with the strategic oversight and execution of all security elements related to various significant and prominent initiatives within the House of Commons. In the context of construction or renovation projects, the Security Program Coordinator provides essential security guidance throughout all stages of the initiatives. Acting as the Security Services' User Group Representative, you will be a vital part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
As a Project Coordinator with a focus on physical and electronic security, you will be required to employ strategic thinking and tactical judgment to devise and implement solutions for physical security elements. Your robust analytical capabilities will be crucial in assessing threats and formulating risk mitigation strategies. You will need to effectively manage multiple, sometimes competing priorities, demonstrating strong organizational skills. Additionally, your excellent communication abilities will be essential in advising senior management based on current industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications
Education:
- Completion of post-secondary education or an acceptable combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
- Proficiency in interpreting architectural, electrical, and mechanical plans.
- Experience in overseeing physical security aspects of projects, including managing consultants and resources.
- A minimum of 5 years in project management, encompassing strategic planning and project delivery to meet integrated business needs.
- Experience in developing and presenting business cases and briefing notes.
- Ability to provide recommendations to senior management.
- Expertise in physical security within a multidisciplinary team setting.
Working Conditions:
- Potential travel across Canada for conducting risk assessments and providing recommendations.
- Onsite presence is expected a minimum of three days a week, with additional days as required.
