Job Title: Security Guard

At Paladin Security, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Guard to join our team. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct proactive and reactive security patrols to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Write clear and concise reports to document incidents and security activities.
  • Investigate routine incidents and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • De-escalate situations involving conflict, violence, or other security threats.
  • Ensure that all areas are covered and secured at all times.
  • Monitor access control and ensure that only authorized personnel have access to restricted areas.
  • Keep the entrance to the pharmacy clear for pedestrian traffic.
  • Intervene in medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
  • Liaise with emergency responders, clients, and Paladin management to ensure a coordinated response to security incidents.
  • Monitor surveillance systems to identify potential security threats.
  • Conduct patient watches and provide a safe and secure environment for patients.
  • Use verbal and physical intervention as necessary to de-escalate security threats.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience in security, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR - Level C certification from a WSIB-approved vendor.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and flexible environment while maintaining the utmost professionalism.
  • Candidates with experience working in healthcare and mental health will be given priority.
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB). Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training.
