Security Officer

Paladin Security is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Guard to join our team. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their properties.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct proactive and reactive security patrols to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Respond to incidents and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
- Write detailed reports of incidents and security activities.
- Investigate routine incidents and take necessary actions to prevent future occurrences.
- De-escalate situations involving conflict, violence, or other security threats.
- Ensure that users are not loitering or injecting outside of the pharmacy.
- Control access to the building and maintain a secure environment.
- Intervene in medical emergencies and provide assistance as needed.
- Liaise with emergency responders, clients, and Paladin management to ensure effective communication and response.
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond to any security breaches.
- 1 year of experience working in security, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
- Valid First Aid and CPR - Level C certification from a WSIB-approved vendor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and flexible environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Candidates with experience working in healthcare and mental health will be given priority.
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB).
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to onboarding.
