About the Role:
Slofac Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Librarian Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our library services team, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our library.
Key Responsibilities:
- Education and Training: Assist in the development and implementation of educational programs and workshops for library patrons.
- Collection Management: Support the maintenance and organization of library collections, including cataloging and processing new materials.
- Research and Reference: Provide research assistance and answer reference questions for library patrons.
- Community Outreach: Participate in community outreach and engagement activities to promote library services and programs.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the library team, including data entry and record-keeping.
Requirements:
- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a library or related setting.
- Work Term: Temporary.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
