Role Overview:

As a Bilingual Automotive Fixed Ops Software Trainer, you will play a crucial role in providing training and support to both new and existing clients on our Dealer Management Software (DMS), specifically within the Parts and/or Service modules. Prior to the software implementation, you will assist customers through virtual training sessions, both online and via phone. Additionally, you may provide onsite training when necessary.

Work Arrangement:

This position is remote, with the expectation that you will be based in Ottawa and the surrounding area. Your work will be split evenly between remote tasks and travel to customer locations across North America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire a thorough understanding of the PBS software.
  • Develop expertise in training customers on the PBS software.
  • Gain proficiency in data entry and other essential tasks.
  • Complete the payroll module, if applicable.
  • Become a self-sufficient install resource.
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
  • Take initiative to learn about new products to enhance your knowledge.
  • Provide exceptional support to our customers using our software.
  • Effectively navigate our DMS Software to assist customers.
  • Conduct training sessions in assigned areas and, if possible, in other areas.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Respond promptly to internal and external training requests.
  • Document issues and escalate them to the appropriate teams.
  • Foster a positive work environment.
  • Share knowledge within your team and across departments.
  • Update documentation as processes evolve.
  • Commit to ongoing education and cross-training.
  • Monitor the DTO queue.
  • Exhibit strong customer service skills.
  • Willingness to go above and beyond.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in French and English (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Experience in the parts or service sector of a dealership is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the automotive industry or dealership environment is preferred.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Willingness to travel within Canada and the USA for up to 2 weeks per month; proof of Covid-19 vaccination, valid passport, and/or US visa (if applicable), and a valid full class driver's license are required.
