About This Opportunity

Black & McDonald Limited is seeking a highly skilled and organized Proposal Coordinator to join our Southern Ontario Business Development team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and submission of high-quality proposals to secure new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the proposal production process, working closely with the Proposal Manager to ensure timely and effective delivery of proposals.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to coordinate and prepare proposal responses to Expressions of Interest (EOI), Requests for Qualifications (RFQ), Requests for Proposal (RFP), and Requests for Information (RFI).
  • Review and interpret RFP and RFQ documents to determine requirements for successful proposal submission, and liaise with client contacts regarding proposal deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain a library of standard marketing materials, including project profiles, resumes, and other relevant documents.
  • Support ad-hoc business development initiatives, such as preparing marketing materials for client presentations as required.
  • Monitor and identify opportunities on public portals and notify Division Managers of potential opportunities.
  • Assist with document control and management to support various pursuits.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution
  • 1-2 years of marketing/business development/proposal or related experience, preferably in the Engineering or Construction industry
Skills and Abilities
  • Proposal coordination in a construction setting is an asset
  • Proficient user of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and PDF editing software
