ROME GROUP, a prominent organization committed to fostering excellence in communities and individuals, is in search of a seasoned and proactive Chief Financial Officer to enhance our leadership team.

Position Type:
Full-Time, Flexible Work Schedule

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Collaborate closely with the Executive Leadership and Board to formulate and execute financial strategies that resonate with the organization's core values and strategic objectives.
  • Lead the finance department in overseeing daily financial operations, encompassing accounting, budgeting, forecasting, banking, and financial reporting.
  • Manage the organization’s insurance requirements, ensuring comprehensive coverage and effective risk management practices.
  • Oversee employee benefits programs and deliver outstanding HR support to the workforce.
  • Act as the primary liaison to various volunteer committees, including the Audit & Finance Committee.
  • Ensure adherence to governance policies and regulations pertinent to non-profit entities, particularly in North America.
  • Enhance banking relationships and develop strategies to improve cash flow positions.

Additionally, you will:

  • Gain a thorough understanding of the missions, programs, and financial frameworks of the associated charitable foundations.
  • Provide financial insights and guidance to these foundations as required.
  • Oversee the annual audit process and supervise the preparation of necessary financial reports.
  • Serve as Pension Trustee, responsible for the oversight of pension plan accounting and management.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior financial management capacity, ideally within a non-profit setting. Extensive knowledge and experience in insurance and risk management are essential. Proven leadership skills and experience in managing a team of finance professionals are required. Proficiency in Financial Edge accounting software is preferred.
