Transport Desgagnés specializes in the management and operation of its fleet, ensuring the fulfillment of its clients' logistical requirements.
Position Overview:
The Chief Officer directly assists the Captain and is accountable for overseeing cargo operations, including the loading and unloading processes, as well as managing the ballasting and deballasting procedures to maintain the vessel's stability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe and efficient cargo handling operations.
- Supervise ballasting and deballasting activities.
- Maintain compliance with maritime regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- STCW II/2 Certification.
- First Officer of the Bridge Certificate or equivalent (STCW).
- Generic SVCEI training completed.
- Bridge Resource Management training is preferred.
- Valid maritime medical certification.
- STCW Emergency Training Certificate.
- STCW Advanced First Aid at Sea Certificate.
- A minimum of 4 months experience as Chief Officer and 16 months as Bridge Officer on cargo vessels.
- Proficient in English, as it is the working language.
