Your responsibilities will include: The Facility Compliance Auditor is tasked with ensuring that the Minto Group's apartment rental portfolio adheres to established standards, complies with relevant regulations, and provides technical assistance and training to internal stakeholders.

In this position, you will:

  • Conduct scheduled quarterly assessments of properties.
  • Perform unannounced inspections on serviced equipment to confirm that maintenance is executed timely and in accordance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that the portfolio remains compliant with regulations through site evaluations and analysis of service documentation.
  • Maintain legally required inspection records and certifications within the Document Management System.
  • Propose enhancements to improve equipment functionality and efficiency as needed.
  • Assist in onboarding new site personnel to guarantee proper management of building systems and overall asset compliance.
  • Offer robust technical support and expertise to onsite teams to ensure that maintenance challenges are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to foster a proactive team environment that aligns with operational goals.
  • Advocate for safe working practices, monitor adherence to health and safety policies, and help mitigate physical risks to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management that align with the role's scope and purpose.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A maximum of 5-8 concise bullet points detailing educational background, experience, training, and skill requirements.
  • At least 5 years of experience in building systems and compliance for both commercial and residential properties.
  • Familiarity with Yardi/ERP systems is a plus.
  • Experience in project management or contract management is essential.
  • A self-motivated individual capable of working independently.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Skills in Building Automation Systems (BAS).
  • A strong sense of ownership regarding roles and responsibilities.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent relationship-building, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A college diploma or university degree in a related field is considered an asset.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be taken into account.
