Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our medical staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and confirm appointments, maintain accurate records, and coordinate with medical staff and patients as needed.
  • File Management: Maintain confidential medical files and records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Office Procedures: Develop and implement efficient office procedures and routines to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook, with the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
Work Environment

This is a casual position, working 75 hours bi-weekly. The successful candidate will be required to work in a hospital/medical facility or clinic setting, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
