Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide administrative support to our healthcare team, ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and confirm appointments, maintain accurate records, and coordinate with healthcare professionals as needed.
  • File Management: Maintain confidential medical files and records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Office Procedures: Establish and maintain office procedures and routines, ensuring efficient and effective workflow.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook, with ability to learn new software as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, with ability to learn and adapt quickly.
Work Environment

This is a casual position, working 75 hours bi-weekly in a fast-paced environment. You will work under pressure, maintaining confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive medical information.
