Key Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the primary liaison with essential stakeholders within the Service business unit.
  2. Oversee, assess, and prioritize the demand for Business Information Solutions in collaboration with Core functions and Business partners, maintaining a holistic perspective.
  3. Initiate projects with effort estimation in line with project management frameworks, coordinating with IT departments and external partners as necessary.
  4. Lead the development of functional designs aimed at enhancing or creating standard IT services.
  5. Convert business needs into functional and technical specifications, ensuring the completeness of system requirements in alignment with Bombardier's strategic objectives and maintaining high-quality standards.
  6. Advocate for standardization, integration, and innovation.
  7. Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of business processes, vision, and best practices in IT.
  8. Assist in the development, validation, and assessment of BIS Solutions against established requirements.
  9. Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to formulate solutions in line with the Business solutions roadmap.
  10. Stay informed about market trends and solutions, evaluating existing offerings against them and influencing the strategic roadmap.
  11. Supervise daily operations for designated areas, monitoring ongoing activities, projects, and customer service levels, and reporting status, issues, and risks to management regularly.
  12. Provide technical expertise and guidance in resolving issues reported by end-users in assigned areas.
Qualifications for Success:
  1. Typically, 5 or more years of professional IT experience in relevant functional areas, including prior IT project management roles.
  2. Generally, 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
  3. Expertise in Maximo solutions as a subject matter expert or senior developer.
  4. A proven history of successful implementation of Maintenance Management Systems (MMS).
  5. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or 3 years of equivalent professional experience.
  6. Proficient verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.
  7. Ability to articulate technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  8. Strong planning and organizational skills necessary for prioritizing, assigning, and coordinating team workloads across multiple projects.
  9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  10. Ability to collaborate effectively within teams.
  11. A strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail.
