About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Analyst to join our Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) team. As a key member of our team, you will provide advice and guidance to senior management and colleagues on the application and interpretation of the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act.

Your primary responsibilities will include managing ATIP files from beginning to end, applying analytical skills and judgment to assess requests within legislative timelines, and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. You will also maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, conduct research on case precedents and legislation, and develop and deliver training sessions for employees on ATIP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and prioritize a high volume of files under tight timelines, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Apply analytical skills, judgment, and discretion to assess requests within legislative timelines and ensure internal and external stakeholders are well supported.
  • Conduct research on case precedents, legislation, and policies to develop advice and recommendations on ATIP matters.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions for employees on ATIP.
Requirements
  • A post-secondary education in business administration or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing ATIP files from beginning to end.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of the federal Access to Information Act and Privacy Act, including regulations, policies, and case precedents.
  • Excellent organization, research, and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Bilingualism (English and French).
