Job Title: Guest Service Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Guest Service Representative to join our team at Super 8 Hotel Amherst.

Job Summary:

The Guest Service Representative will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable stay. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Registration: Register arriving guests and assign rooms, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Front Desk Operations: Process group arrivals and departures, take, cancel, and change room reservations, and provide information on hotel facilities and services.
  • Customer Service: Provide general information about points of interest in the area, exchange foreign currency, and process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments.
  • Administrative Tasks: Balance cash, complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms, and maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
  • Emergency Procedures: Follow emergency and safety procedures, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties as needed.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Computer Skills: Multi-line switchboard, computerized bookkeeping system, central reservation system (CRS), and spreadsheet experience.
  • Personal Qualities: Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, and team player.
