About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Tentatsu Japanese Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our customers receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution

Develop and implement menus that showcase our restaurant's commitment to quality and freshness. Plan and estimate food requirements to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Food Sourcing and Inventory Management

Source high-quality ingredients and kitchen supplies, and maintain accurate inventory records to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.

Culinary Leadership

Train and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers, to ensure that they are equipped to provide excellent service and maintain high standards of food quality and safety.

Kitchen Maintenance and Sanitation

Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they meet health and safety standards, and implement procedures to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Staff Management and Development

Recruit, hire, and train staff to meet the needs of our restaurant, and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities to ensure that they are equipped to succeed in their roles.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

A minimum of 1 year of experience as a head cook or executive chef in a high-volume restaurant environment, with a strong background in menu planning, food sourcing, and kitchen operations.

Language and Communication

Fluency in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate kitchen staff.

Work Environment

Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration to deliver exceptional customer service.
