Position Overview:

Department Overview: Our team of dedicated audit professionals collaborates with all sectors of the Bank to deliver strategic insights and independent oversight. Through thorough evaluations and a strong commitment to integrity, we help mitigate potential risks to our operations. Our expertise spans all areas of the bank, ensuring we safeguard TD's reputation for good governance.

We are relied upon to offer recommendations that enhance operational efficiency at every level, fostering meaningful process improvements and ensuring compliance with both internal and external regulations. We analyze data, consult with partners and stakeholders, and present our findings to address current and future risks, ensuring smooth daily operations for our clients.

As a Senior Audit Manager, you will oversee complex audits and ensure their completion across multiple business units. You will manage relationships with business lines in accordance with regulatory standards. Your extensive experience will allow you to deliver audit analysis, standard reporting, and operational support effectively. You will leverage your knowledge of the financial industry landscape and current market trends to drive impactful actions.

  • Serve as a specialized resource on audits, providing subject matter expertise for planning, risk assessment, and execution of highly complex audits and related processes.
  • Play a pivotal role in developing and implementing programs that align with the strategic direction of the audit function.
  • Plan and lead audit activities requiring coordination across various areas, executing follow-ups on findings from internal audits and regulatory reviews as per established standards.
  • Manage ongoing audit communications and reporting processes with clients, senior management, and external auditors.
  • Guide the team in identifying, designing, testing, and implementing a wide range of complex audit initiatives.
  • Identify and resolve critical issues by providing guidance for complex situations and reporting non-standard issues to the appropriate levels and stakeholders as necessary.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends and evolving regulatory requirements to identify opportunities and recommend areas for improvement to senior management, enhancing team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Foster a positive, diverse, and open work environment by continuously improving efficiency, sharing deep knowledge and skills, and encouraging the team to achieve results.
Job Requirements:
  • Over 7 years of experience with an undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, accounting designations, or equivalent education.
  • Experience in Branch, Credit, and/or Canadian Banking is an asset.
  • Advanced understanding of business processes and operations, risk management, change methodologies, organizational practices, and business transformation.
  • Proficiency in using software tools, Windows applications, data analysis, and reporting techniques.
  • A strong team leader capable of negotiating and influencing key partners, including employees.
  • Aptitude for exercising sound judgment in decision-making and handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate proficiently in both oral and written forms.
  • Extensive knowledge of specialized auditing and the integration of cross-functional processes to undertake and complete various audit projects and initiatives.
  • Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset.
