Position Overview: The Senior IT Risk Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of the IT Risk Function within the Global Payments and Core Banking Engineering sectors. This position is responsible for ensuring that individual objectives, plans, and initiatives are effectively executed to align with the overarching business strategies and goals of the organization.

Compliance and Governance: The incumbent will ensure that all operations adhere to relevant regulations, internal policies, and established procedures. A strong emphasis will be placed on fostering a customer-centric culture to enhance client relationships and leverage the broader organizational resources, systems, and expertise.

Collaboration and Risk Assessment: This role requires collaboration with various technology teams to plan and implement risk assessments, ensuring that appropriate governance frameworks are established and that IT risks are managed proactively. The Senior IT Risk Manager will analyze IT processes to design and implement effective risk controls, ensuring their maintenance and monitoring.

Monitoring Key Risk Indicators: The position involves active monitoring and investigation of Key IT Risk Indicators, including Security, Availability, Third Party Management, and Software Currency. The Senior IT Risk Manager will interface with other departments, such as IT Security, Vulnerability Management, Global Risk Management, Audit, Compliance, and Portfolio Management.

Risk Assessment Analysis: It is essential to maintain comprehensive records of IT risk assessment analyses and results within enterprise tools, ensuring full compliance with defined policies and standards. The role also includes working closely with Audit and Compliance teams to address any identified issues.

Operational Excellence: The Senior IT Risk Manager will actively pursue efficient operations within their respective areas, adhering to the organization's values and code of conduct. This includes ensuring the adequacy and effectiveness of daily business controls to meet operational, compliance, and conduct risk obligations.

Leadership and Team Development: This position requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and influence junior staff and subject matter experts across various technology departments. A commitment to fostering a high-performance and inclusive work environment is essential.

Qualifications:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in IT Risk Management or IT Audit within the banking sector.
  • Experience in a global banking environment, with a solid understanding of banking business processes.
  • Proficiency in IT audits or regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of multiple domains, including Security Management, Identity and Access Management, Vulnerability Management, Disaster Recovery, and Software Currency.
  • Adept at navigating complex environments, data, and systems.
  • Proven ability to gather evidence and conduct stakeholder interviews, with practical experience in in-depth analysis.
