Our Business

We operate three food and pharmacy stores, thirty-one Angry Otter liquor stores, two feed mills, two bulk petroleum facilities, the Angry Otter Tap & Forno and Brewery in North Vancouver, the Highwayman Pub in Abbotsford, the Highwayman pub in South Surrey, and twenty-five gas station/convenience stores.

Job Summary

We're seeking a Part-Time Hardware Associate to join our Retail Centre team in Langley, BC. As a Hardware Associate, you'll provide prompt and courteous service to all guests, stock shelves with merchandise, utilize product knowledge to promote sales, and ensure the area is always clean and presentable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all guests
  • Stock shelves with merchandise and maintain a clean and organized store environment
  • Utilize product knowledge to promote sales and provide recommendations to customers
  • Operate a forklift if required
  • Contribute to the team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Previous warehouse experience is an asset
  • Previous DIY Home Reno/Repair experience in building supplies and/or gardening/landscape is an asset
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Displays enthusiasm about delivering excellent Guest Service
  • Ability to take and maintain the Forklift Certification
  • Must be committed to a SAFE working environment
  • Ability to construct and build seasonal displays
  • Ability to perform physical job duties including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have open availability and be able to work days, evenings, and weekends. Preference for candidates available Monday-Friday day shifts
  • This position is based out of the Retail Centre, though it may require on some occasions to travel and work at other locations as business needs arise
