Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Hardware Associate at Otter Co-op. As a key member of our Retail Centre team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and contributing to the success of our retail operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers
- Stock shelves with merchandise and maintain a clean and organized store environment
- Utilize product knowledge to promote sales and provide recommendations to customers
- Operate a forklift and perform other duties as assigned
- Contribute to the team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence
Requirements:
- Previous warehouse experience is an asset
- Previous DIY home reno/repair experience in building supplies and/or gardening/landscape is an asset
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to take and maintain the Forklift Certification
- Must be committed to a SAFE working environment
- Ability to construct and build seasonal displays
- Ability to perform physical job duties including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
- Must have open availability and be able to work days, evenings, and weekends
