Otter Co-op, a leading retail organization, is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Hardware Associate to join our team at our Retail Centre in Aldergrove, BC.
About Us:
As a diverse and growing organization, we serve the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, and BC Interior. With over 100 years of experience and a team of over 1000 members, we are proud to be a locally owned and community-minded member of the neighborhoods we live, work, and play in. Our business encompasses three food and pharmacy stores, thirty-one Angry Otter liquor stores, two feed mills, two bulk petroleum facilities, the Angry Otter Tap & Forno and Brewery in North Vancouver, the Highwayman Pub in Abbotsford, the Highwayman pub in South Surrey, and twenty-five gas station/convenience stores.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to all guests
- Stock shelves with merchandise
- Utilize product knowledge to promote sales
- Ensure the area is always clean and presentable
- Operate a forklift if required
- Contribute to the team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Previous warehouse experience is an asset
- Previous DIY Home Reno/Repair experience in building supplies and/or gardening/landscape is an asset
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Display enthusiasm about delivering excellent Guest Service
- Ability to take and maintain the Forklift Certification
- Commitment to a SAFE working environment
- Ability to construct and build seasonal displays
- Ability to perform physical job duties including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
- Open availability and ability to work days, evenings, and weekends
- This position is based out of the Retail Centre, though it may require occasional travel and work at other locations as business needs arise
