Job Title: Construction Site Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Site Manager to join our team at P GILL CONSTRUCTION LTD.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate costs and materials to ensure accurate project budgets
  • Oversee apprenticeship training to develop the skills of our team members
  • Prepare bids to secure new projects and contracts
  • Prepare production and other reports to track project progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Recruit and hire workers and manage related staffing actions
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities to ensure smooth project execution
  • Co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers to achieve project goals
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and deadlines
  • Read blueprints and drawings to understand project requirements
  • Recommend personnel actions to improve team performance
  • Requisition materials and supplies to support project needs
  • Supervise workers and projects to ensure high-quality results
Requirements:
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • 3-4 years of experience in a similar role
  • Basic security clearance to work on sensitive projects
  • Construction industry experience to understand project requirements
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members and stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements
  • Initiative to identify and implement process improvements
  • Judgement to make informed decisions about project resources and timelines
  • Organized to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Reliability to maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity
  • Team player to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders
