Area Sales Manager

As an Area Sales Manager with Scotia Dealer Advantage, you will play a key role in driving business growth and success in the Manitoba Region. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of dealers, developing and executing sales strategies, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Pursue a business development program within the assigned market area of dealers, managing the volume, flow, and yield of a dealer loan application/sales pipeline.
- Ensure all aspects of assigned dealers receive ongoing attention to achieve dealer satisfaction, using strong knowledge of the Business Line's products and services.
- Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of your respective areas, ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls.
- Champion a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates your team.
- Completion of a post-secondary education (college or university) or equivalent experience preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a sales capacity, with direct experience in prime or non-prime finance preferred.
- Functional knowledge of MS Word, Excel, credit decisioning, contract management, customer relationship management, and/or loan application software relative to the business line.
- Valid driver's license.
- Work in a standard office-based environment, with non-standard hours common.
- Extensive travel domestically, as well as limited national travel, is required.
