About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our team as Senior Vice President, Asset Management and Operations. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our asset management and operations strategy, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement Asset Management Strategy: Establish a comprehensive asset management framework, including processes, key performance indicators, and roles and responsibilities, to ensure the optimal utilization and maintenance of our fleet and facilities.
  2. Lead Safety Initiatives: Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure a safe working environment for our employees and to meet regulatory requirements.
  3. Manage Fleet Maintenance Budget: Plan, develop, and monitor the fleet maintenance budget, ensuring adherence to budget projections and developing long-term planning for maintenance spend.
  4. Oversee Facilities and Capital Spend: Plan, develop, and monitor the facilities and capital spend budget, ensuring adherence to budget projections and developing long-term planning for special maintenance projects and capital expenditures.
  5. Collaborate with Operations: Work closely with operations to ensure input and feedback on fleet and facilities planning and maintenance.
  6. Provide Strategic Direction: Provide strategic direction to affiliate companies on rolling equipment purchases, maintenance program setups, and other operational matters.
  7. Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Oversee and ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local regulatory requirements and reporting.

Requirements:

  1. University Degree: A university degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or business, or equivalent experience.
  2. Professional Designation: A professional designation, such as P.Eng, or equivalent experience.
  3. Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience in asset management, operations, or a related field.
  4. Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive technical knowledge of transportation equipment, maintenance, and repair, as well as real estate, facility design, and construction.
  5. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate a team.
