Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and professional Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive support to senior executive staff within the Government of Manitoba.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative and secretarial support to executive and senior level staff, including scheduling meetings, coordinating appointments, and making travel arrangements.
  • Draft, format, edit, and proofread correspondence with excellent attention to detail.
  • Manage and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
  • Prioritize workloads and effectively manage deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Interact professionally with management and stakeholders and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Coordinate the flow of correspondence and maintain and manage electronic and physical files.
  • Make sound decisions and solve problems effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience providing administrative and secretarial support.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated political acumen and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of experience coordinating correspondence and managing files.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working with policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in office or business administration from a recognized program.
