About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at ORANGEBIRD BUILDING MAINTENANCE INC. as a key member of our grounds maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, Supervise and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of grounds maintenance professionals, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement comprehensive grounds maintenance plans, taking into account seasonal changes and weather conditions.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Conduct thorough assessments of labour and material requirements, ensuring accurate estimates and efficient use of resources.
  • Tender and Administer Contracts: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and meets safety standards.
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment and Supplies: Procure necessary materials, equipment, and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with company standards.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures, ensuring seamless operations and minimal downtime.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
  • Work Site Environment: Outdoors
  • Area of Work Experience: Snow removal
  • Area of Specialization: Grounds maintenance
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, excellent oral communication, initiative, judgement, team player
  • Work Term: Permanent
