Job Overview

At Walker Industries, we are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand our customer base.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers to increase sales revenue and customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize market analysis and research to identify new sales opportunities and expand our customer base.
  • Provide customers with prompt and accurate estimates and quotes for our aggregate products.
  • Travel to customer sites to evaluate needs and recommend products that meet their requirements.
  • Investigate customer complaints and concerns to provide timely solutions and advice.
  • Assist the credit department with collections of past due accounts to ensure timely payment.
  • Attend industry events and meetings to stay up-to-date on market trends and product offerings.

Requirements:

  • Previous sales experience in a related industry is an asset.
  • College diploma or university degree is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills to produce reports, documents, and presentations.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems.
  • Able to work with limited supervision and take discretionary action as required.
  • Professional manner, tact, diplomacy, and discretion in dealing with colleagues and senior management.
  • Thorough work habits, attention to detail, and ability to keep accurate records.
  • Proactive approach to meeting customer needs and anticipating opportunities.
  • Adaptable and able to work with diverse personalities and styles.
