Sales Development Representative

Terms: Permanent Full-Time

Reports to: Canadian Sales Manager

Job Purpose:
Responsible for expanding sales with new opportunities for our existing customers by providing and promoting information about our services. You will work closely with the sales and marketing team to identify opportunities to position the company's services as a solution to satisfy customers' needs and requests, respond to their queries in a timely manner, and aspire to deliver a positive customer experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follow up on quotes with customers
- Follow up with customers for feedback on recent services
- Provide demos of software solutions to potential customers
- Work with the Marketing department on campaigns
- Use various tools and techniques to identify potential leads and qualify leads based on predefined criteria
- Schedule meetings between qualified leads and the sales team while ensuring a smooth handover by providing detailed background information to the sales team
- Assist with customer complaints and inquiries quickly and efficiently
- Answer phone calls and emails in a professional manner
- Build positive relationships with customers
- Collect customer information for future follow-ups
- Upsell services and make recommendations
- Support the closing of sales and achieve company quotas
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and potential clients to enhance outreach strategies and conversations
- Assist Sales Reps as needed
Professional & Educational Background:
Post-secondary education in Business Administration or a relevant field
Minimum 3 years of sales experience within the Transportation and Logistics industry

- Knowledgeable: Of sales techniques and tactics, including cold-calling, networking, lead generation, and the ability to capture and close the deal
- Multi-tasking: Strong multi-tasking abilities, proactive, and adaptable based on the needs of the company and the executives
- Analytical: Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis and statistical methods
- Problem Solving: The ability to troubleshoot using experience and research on best practices
