Job Summary

itec group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager/Estimator to oversee fabrication projects from initial estimation to completion. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in fabrication processes and project management, ensuring timely, budget-friendly, and high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimation and Planning: Lead the estimation process for fabrication projects, analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
  • Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, subcontractor quotes, and other project-related expenses.
  • Project Scheduling and Management: Develop project schedules, milestones, and budgets, and ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Profitability and Risk Management: Maintain project profitability; capturing changes to the scope of work with the customer and warranty charge backs with suppliers.
Requirements:
  • Education: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technologist/equivalent diploma.
  • Experience: Minimum two years' experience in a related field.
  • Background: Experience in construction project management or a manufacturing background is considered an asset.
  • Skills: Knowledge or experience with PMBOK standards & best practices would be an asset.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management skills and the ability to effectively support multiple projects to completion; meeting deadlines and budgets.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with AutoCAD & SolidWorks is an asset.
