Are you passionate about digital communication and social media marketing? We are seeking a meticulous and proactive individual to join our team as a Communications Coordinator.

In this role, you will be an integral part of the NSCSC Industry Services Team, responsible for developing and delivering engaging communication and marketing content tailored for digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate on the creation of impactful social media content, press releases, announcements, and marketing materials.
  2. Assist in the formulation and implementation of communication strategies, brand initiatives, and promotional campaigns.
  3. Oversee editorial calendars and optimize content production processes.
  4. Conduct research to guide strategic communication efforts.
  5. Track media activities and share pertinent information with the NSCSC team and stakeholders.
  6. Support the preparation and editing of reports.
  7. Evaluate and report on the success of marketing and communication initiatives.
  8. Provide assistance in various areas of industry service, including event planning and coordination.

Qualifications:

  1. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  2. Customer-oriented approach, skilled in fostering relationships with industry and media partners.
  3. Prior experience managing social media in a professional context.
  4. Strong creative and professional writing skills.
  5. Exceptional organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  6. Proficient in critical thinking and problem-solving.
  7. Ability to excel in a dynamic, collaborative setting.
  8. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  9. Educational background in Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  10. Valid driver's license and access to transportation.

Work Environment:

This position is primarily based in a small office setting.

Applicants will be required to undergo a criminal record and child abuse registry check. Candidates must be capable of meeting physical demands, including lifting, pushing, and pulling approximately 50 lbs, as well as standing and walking for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
