About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to join our team as an Account Manager - Performance Adhesives. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting our portfolio of industrial adhesives, coatings, and sealants to customers in the flexible packaging, general packaging/labeling, product assembly, and rubber to substrates applications markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote our industrial adhesive products to existing and new customers
- Maintain and grow a strong established customer base
- Manage key customer relationships and develop strategies to increase sales
- Qualify key decision makers and establish relationships to obtain repeat and new sales
- Develop and utilize internal and external resources to showcase Quadra's reputation for service excellence
- Sell Quadra's superior product line to potential customers through routine customer visits, joint calls, and participation in industry events
- Provide technical assistance to established customers and assist with customer troubleshooting and optimization opportunities
- Manage tight timelines and deal with after-hour emergencies
- Closing new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and integrating contract requirements
- Cold calling potential customers
- Weekly reporting and scheduling
- Actively participate in financial forecasting exercises
- Ensure the planning and organization of your time while participating in any other various projects as requested by the Sales Manager
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Administration, Marketing, or a science field
- Strong analytical and technical skill set necessary to learn and troubleshoot adhesive applications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in customer prospecting and business development, with a proven track record of sales growth and customer retention
- Experience in the industrial adhesives market with knowledge of the manufacturing sector
- Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills in developing, following up, and closing sales opportunities
- Ability to build trust with customers
- Self-motivated, self-directed, and able to learn new technologies and adapt to new situations
- High degree of organization, planning, and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent negotiation skills and strong business acumen
- Proven presentation and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills, experience with a CRM (ideally Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal skills and initiative
- Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time, including overnight travel
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel outside of Canada
