Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Expert to join our team. As a Safety Expert, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to our clients on health and safety matters, including conducting safety audits and hazard assessments, developing OHS documentation, and providing training and consulting services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and update expertise in health and safety matters
  • Conduct safety audits and hazard assessments on client sites, ensuring compliance with OHS regulations and industry best practices
  • Develop OHS documentation, including audit reports, risk assessments, safe work procedures, and health and safety documents
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of health and safety practices, assessments, and documents
  • Perform a variety of roles on site, including health and safety supervision, OHS support, and other related services
  • Maintain a high standard of quality and expertise
  • Travel to client sites in the region or out of town

Requirements

  • Diploma or certificate in occupational health and safety
  • One of the following certifications: ROH, CIH, CSP, or CRSP (an asset)
  • Experience as a health and safety advisor
  • Experience in working at heights, in confined spaces, in lockout/tagout, and in developing health and safety procedures
  • Confident in your knowledge, but able to consider all points of view
