Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Expert to join our team. As a Safety Expert, you will be responsible for providing health and safety training to customers, developing and updating expertise, and contributing to the development and improvement of training programs and health and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update expertise in health and safety procedures and protocols
- Provide health and safety training to customers, either at the SPI training center or on the customer's premises
- Contribute to the development and improvement of training programs and health and safety practices
- Perform a variety of roles on site, including health and safety supervision, OHS support and other related services
- Travel by car or plane to customer sites in the region or out of town
Requirements
- Diploma or certificate in occupational health and safety
- Have one of the following certifications: ROH, CIH, CSP or CRSP (an asset)
- Experience as a health and safety Advisor
- Experience in working at heights, in confined spaces, in lockout/tagout and in developing health and safety procedures
- Confident in your knowledge, but able to consider all points of view
