Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at PHSA. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to individuals with cancer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Administer medications, injections, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patient reactions to treatment and report any changes or concerns to physicians.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as an RN with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Current CPR (Level C) certification.
  • One (1) year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and skills, with the ability to apply evidence-based practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
