Role Responsibilities:
The Accounting Manager will oversee the daily operations of financial accounting, taxation, and accounts payable, ensuring effective management and development of the accounting team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervision & Support: Oversee all financial accounting and accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks in line with company policies. Review and guide the work of internal staff and external vendors, including account analyses and reconciliations.
  • Financial Reporting: Engage in the monthly and quarterly financial closing processes, providing insights into significant variances in operating expenses. Ensure timely delivery of financial reports to headquarters.
  • Audit Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external audit engagements, facilitating the provision of necessary data and support for various audits.
  • Project Involvement: Participate in initiatives aimed at process enhancement, system upgrades, and new product introductions. Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Team Development: Focus on mentoring and developing staff, promoting cross-training and the implementation of process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive technical accounting knowledge with a solid grasp of IFRS and ICFR.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in accounting, auditing, and taxation, ideally within the financial services sector.

Education & Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA, CA designation is mandatory.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Effective leadership and teamwork skills, capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Problem-solving mindset with sound decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to build credibility with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT systems, with the ability to design queries and assist in system specifications.
  • High integrity, strong work ethic, and self-motivated.
