Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at Acme Accounting Solutions Inc. as a permanent full-time position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers and financial statements, using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Payroll Administration: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies or errors.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including statistical and accounting reports, to provide insights and recommendations for business improvement.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and identify and mitigate potential risks to the organization.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently under pressure.
Work Environment
  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
  • Transportation: Own transportation or public transportation available.
Language and Cultural Competence
  • Language Support: Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
  • Cultural Competence: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
