About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at Loyal Tax & Accounting Services Inc. as an Accounting Assistant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Transactions: Prepare and process general ledger entries, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Accounts Management: Manage accounts receivable and payable, including invoicing, payments, and credit control.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare trial balances, financial statements, and reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Process payroll, manage benefits, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Financial Analysis: Perform financial calculations, including costing and budgeting, to support business decisions.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other supporting documents.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in accounting software, including QuickBooks, MS Access, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to multitask, accurate, client-focused, excellent oral communication, organized, reliable, quick learner, and team player.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous experience in accounting or a related field is an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
