Your Opportunity:

Under the general supervision of the departmental manager, the Reception Clerk is responsible for performing reception and various clerical tasks within the Diagnostic Imaging division. This role involves assisting in the management and upkeep of all records related to appointments and collaborating closely with other sections within the Diagnostic Imaging unit.

Position Overview:

As a Senior Administrative Coordinator, you will leverage advanced administrative capabilities and specialized knowledge to facilitate intricate procedures, practices, and initiatives within the department.

Essential Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification.

Additional Essential Qualifications:

Completion of a Medical Terminology Course is mandatory. A minimum of 3 months of recent experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in booking, reception, and clerical roles, is preferred. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by operational demands is essential. Proficiency in Windows applications (Word, Excel, Internet, and Email) is necessary. Accurate and proficient typing skills are required, with a minimum typing speed of 35 wpm. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is crucial. Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken, is required. Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional demeanor, manage stressful situations with empathy, and remain calm, courteous, sensitive, and tactful is essential. Capability to work independently and a keen eye for detail are important. Ability to uphold strict confidentiality is necessary. Competence in prioritizing tasks and managing frequent interruptions is required. Familiarity with dual monitor setups is expected. Completion of 'It's Your Move' training is required. Ability to lift a minimum of 10 lbs. and assist healthcare providers with patient transfers is necessary. N95 fit testing is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with DI Front Desk and Registration Basics, as well as Connect Care, is desirable. Completion of a recognized Business/Clerical course is preferred. Recent experience in Diagnostic Imaging is advantageous, along with prior experience in electronic Diagnostic Imaging Scheduling.
