Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Administrative Assistant to join our team at the Government of Alberta. As a key member of our Site Services department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily accommodations, including telecommunications, surplus, access, inventories, tenant improvements, and onboarding new staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the executive team, including managing appointments, setting up meetings, and monitoring calendars for Calgary events.
  • Coordinate a range of high-profile, sensitive, and confidential issues, requiring a strong understanding of the department's organization, policies, and practices.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders, including tenants, vendors, and internal teams, to resolve issues and provide excellent customer service.
  • Manage small projects, including troubleshooting technical issues and providing options for resolution.
  • Support Central Administrative Functions, including Reception, Mail/Courier, and other administrative duties as required.

Requirements

  • Strong logical and methodical reasoning, with the ability to effectively communicate, plan, investigate issues, and provide options for resolution.
  • Excellent problem-solving and strategic coordination skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
