Your Opportunity:

The Senior Administrative Coordinator plays a pivotal role in providing high-level administrative support to the Zone Clinical Deputy Department Head and the Zone Department Manager within the Department of Emergency Medicine. This position serves as the primary point of contact for the department, necessitating a robust set of administrative skills and a comprehensive understanding of the policies, operational practices, and support systems associated with Alberta Health Services and the University of Calgary.

This role demands exceptional organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, sound decision-making skills, and the capacity to manage confidential information with discretion. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate within a dynamic team environment.

The responsibilities of this position are multifaceted and require the ability to work independently while efficiently managing multiple tasks. Flexibility is essential to adapt to varying workload demands and to thrive under the pressures of shifting deadlines. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparation and coordination of medical service and administrative agreements
  • Processing clinical and academic appointments and privileges
  • Submitting payment requests
  • Timekeeping and scheduling
  • Calendar management
  • Minute taking
  • Additional duties as assigned

This position requires in-office attendance five days a week, from Monday to Friday.

Description:

As a Senior Administrative Coordinator, you will leverage advanced administrative expertise and specialized knowledge to facilitate complex procedures, practices, and initiatives within the department.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education, specifically a certificate in office or business administration.

Additional Required Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with Alberta Health Services and University of Calgary system applications is considered an asset.
