Loss Prevention Operations Coordinator

The Incident Response Specialist (IRS) plays a crucial role within Loss Prevention Operations, responsible for overseeing company locations through advanced remote monitoring systems. Acting as the primary contact for our internal stakeholders, the IRS will respond to incidents with professionalism and efficiency, ensuring that all documentation adheres to established protocols. The IRS will actively identify potential loss scenarios or threats and communicate effectively with relevant parties to implement necessary preventative measures. Additionally, the IRS may be required to assist at the store level in a Loss Prevention Officer capacity. Key Responsibilities Safeguard company assets and minimize losses. Conduct remote surveillance of assigned company locations. Relay critical information to emergency services as needed. Provide assistance to internal stakeholders. Compile incident reports and evidence packages that comply with both company and legal standards. Perform daily compliance audits as assigned. Conduct interviews via telephone. Required Qualifications Education & Experience: Hold a valid provincial security worker license with a security guard or monitor designation. Certification in First Aid & W.H.I.M.I.S. Basic proficiency in computer systems, networks, and security technologies (CCTV, remote video, access control, etc.). Knowledge of applicable criminal code sections related to Loss Prevention and evidence handling protocols. Familiarity with retail loss prevention and security practices. Educational background in criminology, emergency management, justice, or security management is advantageous. Skills & Competencies Ability to maintain professional phone etiquette while ensuring a positive experience for internal customers. Capability to remain composed and effective during critical incidents, demonstrating sound judgment and clarity in emergencies. Proficient in working independently in a dynamic environment while maintaining objectivity. Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills. Commitment to confidentiality regarding all company information and investigations. Skilled in interviewing and extracting relevant information in a non-confrontational manner.
