Loss Prevention Response Specialist

The Loss Prevention Response Specialist (LPRS) plays a crucial role within the Loss Prevention Operations team, tasked with overseeing company premises through advanced monitoring systems. Acting as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and partners, the LPRS addresses incidents, ensures thorough documentation, and implements proactive strategies to mitigate loss. This position may also entail responsibilities akin to those of a Loss Prevention Officer I at the retail level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safeguard company resources and minimize losses
  • Monitor assigned company locations through remote surveillance
  • Relay information to emergency services
  • Assist internal stakeholders
  • Compile incident reports and evidence documentation
  • Perform compliance assessments
  • Conduct telephonic interviews

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Possess a provincial security worker license with security guard or security monitor designation
  • Completed First Aid & W.H.I.M.I.S. training
  • Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and security protocols
  • Familiarity with criminal code sections pertinent to Loss Prevention
  • Insight into retail loss prevention methodologies
  • Educational background in criminology, emergency management, justice, or security management is advantageous
