Division Head, Department of Medicine


The Department of Medicine is seeking a highly respected and visionary leader to serve as the Head of the Division of Rheumatology. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of academic and clinical rheumatologists, providing mentorship to trainees and faculty, and promoting high-quality patient-centered care.

The Division of Rheumatology is renowned for its innovative sub-specialty programs, including musculoskeletal ultrasound and stem-cell transplant for connective tissue disease. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of academic and clinical excellence, as well as advanced interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Division of Rheumatology and provide strategic direction
  • Provide mentorship to trainees and faculty
  • Promote high-quality patient-centered care
  • Develop and implement research initiatives

Qualifications:

  • MD degree
  • Member of the Canadian Medical Protective Association
  • Certification in Rheumatology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
  • Licensure in Ontario
  • Academic appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or above at the University of Ottawa
