We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager. In this pivotal role, you will focus on recognizing business prospects, nurturing and sustaining client relationships, driving sales and revenue, managing negotiations and contracts, and facilitating market growth. Your efforts will contribute significantly to our mission of empowering women, especially immigrants and BIWoC, to attain employment and progress in their careers.


Position Responsibilities:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be tasked with discovering, cultivating, and executing strategic business opportunities that resonate with the company’s growth ambitions. The BDM will be instrumental in boosting sales, enhancing the company’s market footprint, and forging robust connections with both new and existing clients. The ideal candidate will exhibit a combination of strategic insight, sales acumen, and exceptional interpersonal abilities to meet business objectives and stimulate revenue growth.

  • Investigate and pinpoint new business avenues, encompassing emerging markets, growth sectors, trends, clientele, partnerships, products, and services.
  • Formulate and execute business development strategies that align with the company’s long-term vision.
  • Lead initiatives to generate fresh sales leads, actively pursuing and finalizing business agreements that align with company goals.
  • Meet or surpass sales objectives and contribute to overall revenue enhancement.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline, monitoring progress towards sales targets and reporting on outcomes.
  • Conduct market analysis to grasp industry trends, competitive landscapes, and customer preferences.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to shape business strategies and pinpoint opportunities for market expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously explore avenues to enhance the efficacy of business development strategies and processes.
  • Remain informed about industry best practices and innovative methodologies in business development.
  • Lead negotiations with clients and partners to secure advantageous terms and agreements.
  • Draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring adherence to company policies and legal standards.
  • Effectively close deals, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial and strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments such as Marketing, Product Development, and Operations to ensure synchronization of business development activities with overall company goals.
  • Provide insights to internal teams regarding market trends, customer requirements, and product development opportunities.
  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market dynamics.
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage sales activities and monitor progress against targets.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management, aiding in strategic decision-making.
  • Establish and maintain a robust professional network to bolster business development initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements and emerging trends that could influence the business landscape.

Educational Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Finance, or a related field is typically required.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, or a related field is typically required.
  • Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to manage sales activities, track progress, and analyze data (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Ability to analyze market trends, identify business opportunities, and develop strategies to enter new markets or expand within existing ones.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate business performance and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages can be an advantage, especially for roles involving international business development.
