We are looking for a Business Development Manager who will play a crucial role in driving our mission forward. This position involves identifying new business avenues, nurturing and sustaining client relationships, generating sales and revenue, managing negotiations and contracts, and facilitating market growth. Your efforts will be instrumental in empowering women, particularly immigrants and BIWoC, to achieve their career aspirations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and explore new business prospects, including emerging markets, growth opportunities, customer segments, partnerships, products, and services.
  • Formulate and execute business development strategies that align with the company's long-term vision.
  • Lead initiatives to generate new sales leads, actively pursuing and finalizing business agreements that align with organizational objectives.
  • Meet or surpass sales goals and contribute to overall revenue enhancement.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline, monitoring progress towards sales objectives and reporting on performance metrics.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to comprehend industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer requirements.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to shape business strategies and pinpoint opportunities for market growth.

  • Continuously seek methods to enhance the effectiveness of business development strategies and processes.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and innovative approaches to business development.
  • Lead negotiations with clients and partners to secure advantageous terms and agreements.
  • Draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring adherence to company policies and legal standards.
  • Effectively close deals, ensuring alignment with the company's financial and strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with departments such as Marketing, Product Development, and Operations to ensure business development activities are in sync with overall company goals.
  • Provide insights to internal teams regarding market trends, customer needs, and product development opportunities.
  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market dynamics.
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage sales activities and monitor progress against targets.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management, contributing to strategic decision-making.
  • Build and maintain a robust professional network to support business development initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and emerging trends that could influence the business landscape.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Finance, or a related field is typically required.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, or a related field is typically required.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to manage sales activities, track progress, and analyze data (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Ability to analyze market trends, identify business opportunities, and develop strategies for market entry or expansion.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess business performance and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages can be advantageous, particularly for roles involving international business development.
