The Role

As the Sr. Director of Operations Equipment, you will lead the Tim Hortons Operations Equipment team in managing the innovation and renovation of our restaurant equipment. This role focuses on creating restaurant-level process and equipment solutions that reduce complexity and enhance franchisee profitability.

This position involves collaboration with a diverse range of internal and external individuals and teams, including but not limited to restaurant team members, multi-unit managers, restaurant owners, equipment manufacturers, and internal cross-functional teams such as operations, training, marketing, and supply chain.

Responsibilities
  • Design and optimize back-of-house operations to:
    • Improve operational efficiencies
    • Broaden the scope of potential offerings
    • Minimize required maintenance and extend equipment lifespan
    • Digitize restaurant processes
  • Collaborate with vendors throughout the Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
  • Oversee product and project management initiatives.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in equipment or operations within the food service industry; QSR experience is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing and planning large-scale projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.
  • Project-related travel (0-25%), primarily within the continental US & Canada with occasional international travel.
