Senior Marketing Communications Consultant

At Sun Life Financial, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Marketing Communications Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our digital investment communications team, you'll be responsible for developing and executing strategic communications plans to engage our investment advisor audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Translate complex investment concepts into compelling, audience- and media-appropriate communications and content.
  2. Develop, write, and edit communications for a broad scope of investment-related messages, including regulatory changes, operational and process changes, product launches, and more.
  3. Collaborate with content stakeholders across different functions, including compliance, product management, sales, and more.
  4. Liaise with digital publishing teams to plan, schedule, and publish communications on time, considering turnaround times and service level agreements.
  5. Own the publishing of a monthly newsletter to advisors, ensuring the proper segregation of advisor information and content to deliver the correct messages to intended audiences.
  6. Participate in content ideas for advertising campaigns, unique headlines, and storytelling positioning.
  7. Identify optimal channels to reach targeted audiences and coordinate with subject matter experts, leadership members, and other stakeholders to ensure key messages are captured and communicated in an accessible way.
  8. Provide proofreading and editing support for diverse content.

Requirements:

  1. Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with demonstrated proficiency in writing for various audiences, including institutional investors, intermediaries, investment advisors, and their clients.
  2. Editing and proofreading experience.
  3. Good understanding and/or interest in investment concepts across equity, fixed income, capital markets, and macroeconomic trends.
  4. Proficient in data analysis to aid with storytelling.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of internal stakeholders and convey credibility when working with investment professionals.
  6. Self-starter who can work independently and lead a project from idea generation to execution.
  7. Experience working for a complex organization and ability to work with multiple stakeholders and competing projects.
  8. Fluent in office applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Salary Range: $76,000 - $100,000
