Compensation and Benefits Coordinator

About the Role:
First Student Shared Services is seeking a highly skilled Benefits Coordinator to join our team. As a Benefits Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the administration of our health and welfare plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional service to our employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide timely resolutions to benefits-related issues.
- Assist with the administration of state and company disability plans, ensuring accurate and compliant processing.
- Perform routine audits and reviews of benefits data to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including payroll and benefit administration teams, to resolve benefits-related issues and improve processes.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of benefits plans, policies, and procedures to provide expert guidance to employees and management.
- Identify and recommend solutions to benefits-related issues, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in employee benefits administration, with a strong understanding of retirement plan administration and compliance.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
