About the Role:
First Student Shared Services is seeking a highly skilled Benefits Coordinator to join our team. As a Benefits Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the administration of our health and welfare plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional service to our employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide timely resolutions to benefits-related issues.
- Assist with the administration of state and company disability plans, including eligibility determinations and benefit payments.
- Perform routine audits and reviews of benefits data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Identify and resolve eligibility and pricing setup issues, and recommend solutions to improve benefits administration.
- Review collective bargaining agreements and ensure benefits setup is accurate and compliant.
- Perform specialized data requests and provide insights to inform benefits strategy.
- Communicate effectively with employees, management, and external partners to resolve benefits-related issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in employee benefits administration, with a strong understanding of retirement plan administration and compliance.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a focus on quality control and data accuracy.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
